My Favorite Five Hours Of A Year EVER

We had a really great two weeks visiting my parents in The Most Beautiful Place On Earth.  Really, really great.  That post will follow.

But today is the first of a brand new year.
And so far, only five hours in, I can honestly say it is my favorite year ever:).

Why, you might ask?
Well,
The house is sparkling clean (and I didn't do it).
An old and treasured friend dropped by for a brief visit on her way through town.
Dinner is in the crock pot.
It is a warm, sunny Winter day.
Our electric meter is running backwards thanks to 52 new solar panels on the roof.
I took the kids on a very long and lazy walk... and they stayed by me the whole way.
We played in crunchy leaves.
And on returning, Emery's Barbie is playing nicely with Isaac's airplane pilot while Parker's monster truck happily put-puts along the counter tops.

No, it won't last forever.
It never does.
But right now I am enjoying every minute of it.
So far I am a big fan of this 2012!

Wishing you and yours an exciting, happy, peaceful and healthy New Year.

P.S-- Wow... the kids are growing up!  Time to change the header photos!

Ooooh, solar panels! We're jealous. I'm glad your 2012 is starting out in such a fabulous manner. Ours is a bit rough as of yet but we're hoping for a turnaround. Yay for a great 5 hours, no matter what year it occurs in!

That is definitely a list to be happy about. I hope that the successes continue throughout the year! We also had an unexpected high point today when we took the triplets to a restaurant without a hitch! Such simple things can make a busy mom so happy!

And a clean house that was not your doing...? I'm terribly jealous.

I always enjoy reading your blog. Sounds like a great way to start the year. How are your mom and dad, btw? Glad you were able to get "home" for a visit.
